Abstract

In this publication, a theoretical analysis of the definition of the concept of individual educational trajectory is carried out, the actual topic of professional potential is considered. The presented provisions are confirmed by practical research aimed at identifying certain characteristics related to the profession of an IT specialist, with the help of which it becomes possible to effectively build an educational trajectory. In this regard, the key objective of the article is the development of an individual educational trajectory, in the context of his professional potential, in interaction with the characteristics related to the education and work of the student. Methods of analysis and comparison were used to carry out the study. In addition to the latter, in the process of preparing the practical part, survey methods, Chi-squared and correlations were used, which were applied depending on the specified types of characteristics. The respondents were students in the field of information technology. The study allowed us to identify a number of characteristics that had a serious impact on satisfaction with the choice of education and profession in the IT field. In addition to these, components were identified that did not affect the satisfaction with study and work in any way. As a result of the conducted research, the concept of an individual educational trajectory was defined, the influence of personal qualities on the construction of the latter was considered, professional characteristics contributing to the development of an educational route were identified. It was indicated that the above parameters, which had a significant impact on the satisfaction with the profession in the field of IT, included a high level of personal computer proficiency, computer-related hobbies, mathematical bias of school education. The personal qualities characteristic of students who are satisfied with their professional choice are algorithmic thinking, discipline and memory. All this made it possible to identify the value of the work carried out, which consists in the results obtained on the basis of the survey. The practical significance of the results of the study consists in the professional characteristics obtained, which can contribute to the construction of an individual educational trajectory characteristic of students who are satisfied with their choice.
