Abstract

The article examines the problem of the formation of professional self-determination of students in the context of Career Guidance work in connection with the increasing requirements for the level of modern professional training. The purpose of the study is a scientific theoretical and methodological justification of the formation of professional self-determination of students in the conditions of Career Guidance work. The article clarifies the essence of the concepts of career guidance, professional self-determination of students. The scientific and practical significance of the work is the problem of updating the content of work on the formation of professional self-determination of students in the context of Career Guidance work and the effective use of the capabilities of modern technologies. A scientific theoretical analysis of the works of domestic and foreign scientists who considered the problem of the formation of professional self-determination of students in the context of Career Guidance work is carried out. In order to determine the views of high school students on the current state and approaches to the implementation of Career Guidance work, a questionnaire is taken and an analysis of its results is given. According to the results of the general control and examination of the issue, it is obvious that in modern conditions, career guidance work is still experiencing difficulties in achieving its main goal. Based on the results obtained in the study, the authors put forward the problem of improving the content of Career Guidance work. This is manifested in the formation of professional self-determination of the individual, which meets the demands of society. To improve the quality of Career Guidance work to the appropriate level, it is necessary to focus on updating the content of Career Guidance work. The result of the research problem is the implementation of forms, methods and means of professional orientation in accordance with modern approaches.
