THE PEDAGOGICAL VALUE OF PROVERBS AND SAYINGS IN THE EDUCATION OF THE YOUNGER GENERATION

Currently, the value orientations of youth and children are the main indicator of the development of society. Therefore, in education and upbringing, the task of education is to educate citizens who face global challenges, who are able to easily accept and defend national values, increase the working capacity of each individual as a part of society, improve living standards, and develop national and human dignity.
Every society or every nation striving to continue its existence strives from an early age to educate its generation in accordance with the beliefs and values of society. These values are the most important criteria that attach importance to the socio-cultural elements of society. These values are transmitted in the family by traditional methods, and then at school until the children reach school age. Fairy tales, legends, stories, riddles, folk songs, proverbs, sayings, phraseologies, etc., reflecting the past, present, and future of each nation, reflecting ethnicity, history, culture, customs and traditions of the people, and religious beliefs are used as a means of educating children. This study focuses on proverbs, which are one of the main sets of values of the Kazakh people. The Kazakh people often use proverbs and sayings in the upbringing of children. The purpose of the study is to study the pedagogical value of proverbs and sayings in the formation of personality in the educational process of Kazakhs. The article used an analysis method to study the functionality of proverbs and sayings in child rearing, and the data were presented through descriptive analysis.
