A nation's future prosperity depends on an educated, competitive, and highly qualified workforce. Therefore, supporting the professional development of young people remains a crucial priority in Kazakhstan. Effective career guidance plays a key role in ensuring students make informed decisions about their future professions. The primary goal of career guidance is to facilitate students' professional identification by helping them make appropriate career choices. Beyond providing information about various professions, career guidance fosters self-confidence among high school students, enabling them to set and pursue their own professional goals through informed decision-making and self-assessment.This study examines the effectiveness of career guidance through strengthened collaboration between universities and secondary schools. During the research, partnerships were established with schools, a career guidance plan for students was developed, and activities were carried out in accordance with this plan. The organization of career guidance was guided by key national regulations, including the Standard Rules for Admission to Educational Organizations Implementing Higher and Postgraduate Education Programs (approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, October 31, 2018, No. 600), the Rules for Conducting Comprehensive Testing, and the Atlas of New Professions in Kazakhstan. Additionally, career guidance activities were implemented in collaboration with schools, involving both students and parents. The findings highlight the importance of enhancing cooperation between universities and secondary schools to improve the quality and impact of career guidance efforts.
