Abstract

In the modern education system, the development of creativity among primary school students is a particularly relevant task. The study is aimed at a comprehensive analysis of the impact of interdisciplinary educational projects on the formation of creative abilities in children of this age group. The main objective of the research is to identify and evaluate the effectiveness of interdisciplinary projects as a means of developing creativity in younger schoolchildren. The article forms a new scientific understanding of the role of interdisciplinary projects in the educational process and makes a significant contribution to pedagogy and psychology. The practical significance lies in the development of methodological recommendations for teachers and educational institutions. Moreover, the results of the study may contribute to improving the quality of education and enhancing students’ creative activity.

The research is based on a comprehensive analysis of literature and case studies of successful interdisciplinary projects from different countries. Both qualitative and quantitative research methods are applied. Based on the analysis of international experience, the study identified seven key factors ensuring the effectiveness of interdisciplinary projects in developing creativity among primary school students: knowledge integration, critical thinking development, practical orientation, creative freedom, interdisciplinary competence, learning motivation, and collaboration. In addition, the structures of two interdisciplinary projects, “Environmental Research” and “Time Capsule,” were developed and recommended for implementation in primary school settings. The conclusions emphasize the importance of integrating such projects into the educational curriculum to stimulate creativity and foster readiness for innovative thinking among younger schoolchildren. The results of the study provide practical recommendations for educational institutions on the implementation and effective use of interdisciplinary projects in the educational process, contributing to improved educational quality and the comprehensive development of students.
