THE ESSENCE AND CONTENT OF SPIRITUAL AND MORAL EDUCATION OF MILITARY PERSONNEL

Abstract

The article describes the essence and content of spiritual and moral education of military personnel. At the same time, it is proposed to turn to the theory and practice of educational work in the modern armed forces that the traditions of spiritual and moral education of military personnel have not yet been defined in the complex. The need to study them is related to the search for appropriate means and ways to form the spiritual and moral culture of modern military personnel that corresponds to national traditions and mentality.
Thus, the relevance of the study is due to the following contradictions: spiritual and moral education is a pedagogical phenomenon that combines the content of the concepts of "spirituality" and "morality", the most important characteristics of which are the desire of a person to the ideal, aimed at the high values and nature of relations between people.
The traditions of spiritual and moral education are the highest guidelines for pedagogical science and reflect the scope of application of basic efforts for pedagogical practice. Ensuring the connection of time, the continuity of generations, the unity of society and socio-cultural identity, these traditions are a reliable source and means of self-restoration of society, ethnic group, culture, form the nutritional basis for spiritual growth and self-determination of the individual.
In this regard, the formation, support and development of these traditions constitute the most important historical task, humanitarian mission and socio-cultural goal of pedagogy as a science of education of the individual and social groups.
The article analyzes the content of spiritual and moral values of military personnel in the context of historical development. A justification is given for the importance of the problem under study, which is associated with the need to achieve the rich spirituality of modern military personnel in specific social historical conditions.
The most important characteristics of the spiritual and moral values of a serviceman were studied and described. Spiritual and moral values of a modern officer are related to their formation, the main problematic groups of problems are described.
