The number of learners of Chinese as a foreign language is a process that is growing at a progressive rate every year around the world. This is a result of the economic growth and political stability of the PRC. For Kazakhstan, the PRC is one of the main investors in various sectors of the economy. Therefore, it is desirable that the Chinese language be studied not only by language specialists, but also by non-linguistic specialists competent in building foreign-language professional communication. Improvement of the methodology of teaching Chinese language with formation of language competences taking into account specific features of students of non-linguistic specialties has not lost its relevance in the world.
It is supposed to form foreign language communicative competence through teaching by types of speech activity. In the framework of this article the methodology of formation of foreign language communicative competence by the type of speech activity - reading - was demonstrated. The methods of selection, differentiation, and analysis of texts communicated through reading have been proposed. The characteristic structural, cultural, linguistic features of the Chinese language encountered in the process of studying it are revealed and the ways of their differentiation are determined. The aim of mastering texts in Chinese is to form students' professional communicative competence through the development of speech communication. For this purpose an intensive way of reading is used, which is organized step-by-step in the process of working with the text. A line of receptive, reproductive and productive exercises at each stage is proposed for a clearer understanding and comprehensive discussion of the text. Thus, this article aims to identify effective ways of discussing Chinese texts for non-linguistic students in order to achieve a productive result in the formation of foreign language communicative competence.
