Abstract

This article discusses the essence of the concepts ofcompetence, communicative competence, foreign language communicative competence and describes the definitions put forward by scientists, characterizes the components of the foreign language communicative competence of secondary school students (speech competence, linguistic competence, sociocultural competence, compensatory competence).
