This article discusses the importance of the formation of managerial skills in senior schoolchildren. The importance of managerial skills as a necessary component contributing to the development of leadership qualities among students in the school in the process of organizing self-government at school has always been relevant. But today this concept has acquired a new meaning. Today it is not enough to be just a leader. It is also necessary to possess the skills of functional literacy and global competence. The very meaning of the term managerial skills and their components do not apply only to students. Since managerial skills vary depending on age characteristics. But for us, it is the issues concerning the managerial skills of high school students that are important. This article also reveals the importance of the modern school. Today, the rapid pace of the school modernization process and the practice-oriented construction of the educational process are associated with the widespread penetration of various information and communication innovations and their increasing influence on both the formation of personality and the development of leadership qualities of students. Accordingly, the task of teachers is to awaken the very skills and abilities that contribute to the formation and further development of leadership and managerial skills among school students.
Further, the article lists and discusses the necessary pedagogical approaches, as well as the history of their origin and the ways of their development. These methodological and pedagogical approaches, which, in our opinion, reveal the importance of managerial skills and contribute to their formation and development. The article also reveals the usefulness of interactive teaching methods in group work as an important component of the learning process. In conclusion, the results of the study are summarized.
