Abstract

The article is devoted to the formation of critical thinking among students of higher education on the basis of the program "Writing and thinking", which promotes the study of disciplines of the general education cycle. The history of the emergence of the technique of "Writing and thinking" is also considered. In the article you can get acquainted with several methods of the program that are used for reading texts and writing written works in classrooms. It is believed that getting an education according to the Liberal Arts model meets the requirements that are imposed on graduates of higher educational institutions at the present stage. This program involves working with primary sources in the audience.

The purpose of this article is to study the experience of the implementation of the program "Writing and thinking" at the Kazakh University.   In order to modernize the educational process at Narхoz University, a transition has been made from the traditional lecture-practical format of the lesson to a format aimed at developing the skills of deep reading and discussion of the text read using various methods, the ability to accurately express their thoughts, self-reflection skills, group work.

The technique of "Writing and thinking" allows students to carefully study the text, highlight its main elements, understand how the ideas presented in the text are related to each other, analyze them, draw their own conclusions and systematize in a certain way, as well as understand personal attitude to the text.

In order for education to be at a qualitative level, it is necessary to use teaching methods, and students should be provided with the right motivation. To do this, motivational methods, teaching methods, teaching tools are being actively introduced, various pedagogical technologies are being combined. As a result of pedagogical activity, answers to everyday questions are found: how to make a classroom space bright and amazing. In the classroom, effective conditions are created for the effective assimilation of educational materials by students.
