In order to determine the relevance of our research work, the requirements for the level of professional skills and the processes of developing digital competencies of teachers and introducing students to the use of new technologies provided for by the concept of educational development for 2023-2029 and the state mandatory standard of general secondary education are analyzed. This study is aimed at studying the influence of the use of gamification elements in the educational process when teaching a school mathematics course on the effectiveness of learning. Gamification is an approach based on the use of game elements in non–game contexts. The research paper examines service programs designed to be used in connection with various aspects of gamification implementation, including the use of quests in the Joyteka program. The purpose of the study is to use gamification elements in teaching school mathematics courses in the context of digitalization of education and to assess its impact on learning effectiveness. To achieve this goal, the theoretical literature on the use of gaming technologies and gamification was analyzed, and various data collection methods were used, including interviews, surveys. In the course of the study, a direct interview was conducted with math teachers in order to determine the attitude of students to a math lesson. In addition, an online survey was conducted to determine the opinion of mathematics teachers about the use of gamification elements in teaching. As a result of the study, the need for special training of teachers to use gamification elements in teaching mathematics was identified, and it was concluded that the use of gamification elements in teaching mathematics positively contributes to improving the effectiveness of teaching and, thus, improves the quality of education. The results obtained may be important for the development of effective educational strategies that contribute to increasing the interest and academic performance of schoolchildren in studying mathematics.
