This article discusses issues related to the problem of preparing future specialists of educational psychologists for professional development. It examines the crises that arise at various stages of professional formation: crises of finding and choosing a profession, crises of vocational training and crises of independent professional activity. The professional development of a future teacher-psychologist is presented as a stable system of personal relationships to various aspects of future professional activity. This system defines professional plans and intentions, as well as areas of activity. Orientation to ethical principles helps to determine one's own professional and personal position in psychodiagnostic activities, research and theoretical searches, as well as to realize the measure of responsibility for the results of work. It is important to be aware of the responsibility not only to the client, but also to yourself, as well as to understand the limits of your own capabilities. Professional identity refers to concepts that define the idea of one's place in a professional group or community. It includes value and motivational guidelines, as well as a subjective attitude towards one's professional affiliation. Professional identity is an integrative concept reflecting the interrelation of personal characteristics that allow you to navigate the world of professions, realize personal potential in professional activity and predict the consequences of professional choice.
