IMPLEMENT SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AIM IN SCHOOL GEOGRAPHY

The issues of sustainable development are the most relevant today. The foundation of education is focused on the goals of sustainable development. The research article analyzes the place and importance of sustainable development aim in the educational process. The main aim of sustainable development are related to geographical science. The article describes the objectives and indicators of the aim of quality education. The scientific works of foreign scientists highlight the problems of sustainable development and provide a review of practical work. The directions of implementation of the concepts of sustainable development abroad are considered. The analysis of methodological, scientific, pedagogical literature, programs and documents adopted at the international level was carried out on the topic of the study. The level of coverage of the Sustainable Development AIM in school curricula has been studied, and ways of implementation have been identified. In this context, the level of study of the problems of sustainable development of peer-reviewed sources and the relevance of the research article were analyzed. The research article considers ways to implement the ideas of the aim of sustainable development of secondary schools in terms of the content of the geography curriculum. The analysis of the content of standard curricula of school geography in Kazakhstan for the possibility of coverage by the Sustainable Development AIM is carried out. Analytical materials are summarized in the form of tables and presented as opportunities for the implementation of Sustainable Development AIM in the educational process. The study analyzed the possibilities of including an educational problem for sustainable development in the educational process of schools, including in relation to the content of the subject geography. Methodological approaches to the implementation of Sustainable Development AIM in school geography as an elective course “Social geography and sustainable development” are proposed.
