FORMATION OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE PROFESSIONAL-COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCIES OF THE AGRO-A FIELD STUDENTS (IN THE CONTEXT OF ONLINE EDUCATION)

This article addresses the issue of forming foreign language professional-communicative competencies among students of the “Agronomy” and “Crop Production and Plant Growing” faculties at the Kazakh Agro technical Research University named after S. Seifullin in Astana through the implementation of an online course developed using best practices of blended learning technology, including the A La Carte Model: Online courses for on-campus students. Moreover, the article is based on the consistent-stage competence model of continuity, developed on the premises of modern professional education by academician S.S. Kunanbayeva. The study, conducted on the basis of monitoring carried out by the National Center for Higher Education Development of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the first half of 2024, analyzed the experience of using A La Carte Model in the context of massive open online courses (MOOCs). The necessity of introducing courses aimed at the formation of foreign-language professional-communicative competencies in the field of agricultural education has been identified. In order to study the effectiveness of the implemented course, an experiment was conducted on the basis of the faculties of the “Agronomy” and “Crop Production and Plant Growing” at the Kazakh Agro technical Research University named after S. Seifullin in Astana. More than 30 students took part in this experiment. In conclusion, the article proves the effectiveness of the experiment and suggests the implementation of the developed course into the system of Kazakhstani professional education.
