VOlUNTEERING AS A MEANS OF DEVELOPING THE PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALITIES OF FUTURE STUDENTS OF SPECIAL EDUCATION

Abstract

This article discusses the formation of teachers who are proficient in the techniques and means of individual and professional training of new generation specialists in the field of special education, as well as the direction of students for volunteer work. Experience in scientific research within professional education demonstrates that fostering personal qualities is considered one of the key objectives of higher education institutions. Typically, the educational process emphasizes the acquisition of knowledge and the formation of subject-specific competencies. Therefore, in the context of the modernization of higher professional education, the importance of ensuring the personal and professional growth of future specialists in social work is significantly increasing. It should be noted that the development of a complex of qualities such as empathy, tolerance, reflexivity in their further professional activities is not the purpose of educational practice, and, consequently, the education of a future special pedagogical specialist and the improvement of his practical professional activity. The relevance of the research is explained, first of all, by the globalization of social processes, socio-economic and educational dynamics, and the logic of social development characterized by phenomena in various spheres of society. It initiates the strategic directions of the new paradigm of modern professional education of the society and the state. From the point of view of importance for students, volunteering not only helps to solve many social problems of society, but also contributes to the development of socially significant qualities of future specialists, the development of their active lifestyle and professionalism. Volunteering provides an opportunity to get to know different groups of the population, as a rule, interesting and active people.
