Abstract

The article discusses in detail the issues of integrating the "Sustainable Development Goals" (SDGs) into the process of teaching chemical technology. It analyzes goals closely related to chemical technology and proposes effective ways to implement them in the field of education. In particular, it broadly discusses the basic principles of green chemistry, innovative methods aimed at developing sustainable production, and the specifics of applying them in the educational process. Special attention is also given to tasks designed to develop students' academic and cognitive skills during the teaching of chemical technology. The study examines how methods based on the SDGs in the chemical technology course contribute to forming students' environmental responsibility, their desire to contribute to the sustainable socio-economic development of the country, and to solving global environmental problems. Furthermore, the article analyzes the effectiveness of teaching methods based on sustainable development principles in the development of students' professional competence. The article presents the results of a survey on SDGs and provides plans for lectures and seminars on several topics developed within the framework of the "Chemical Technology" course. These classes were applied during the research, and their effectiveness was evaluated based on changes in students' academic performance and their environmental perspectives. The survey results allowed for a comparison of students' knowledge levels before and after integrating SDGs into the curriculum. The findings of the study show that integrating SDGs into the educational process plays an important role in enhancing students' subject-specific and environmental competencies in the field of chemical technology. Moreover, this approach helps improve their professional training and develops their skills in applying sustainable development principles in practice.
