Abstract

The article describes the significance of social networks in the formation of the professional image of future teachers-psychologists. The aim of the article is to scientifically substantiate the possibilities of social networks in the formation of the professional image of future teachers - psychologists and identify their role in professional self-expression in the digital environment, the development of communication skills, increasing the popularity of psychological services. The scientific and practical significance of the research work is that the article analyzes the theoretical foundations of the formation of a professional image through social networks, systematizes scientific conclusions and makes it possible for research participants on this issue to apply the data obtained in practice in the formation of a professional image.

Both qualitative and quantitative research methods were employed, including content analysis and surveys. The content analysis involved the examination of dissertations and articles from foreign, Russian, and domestic sources. The essence of the concept of a professional image and the role of social networks in its formation were analyzed. A total of 79 students from the 1st to 4th years of the Pedagogy and Psychology educational program at East Kazakhstan University named after S. Amanzholov participated in the survey. The results of the survey showed that future teachers-psychologists support the importance of using social networks as a tool for the formation of a professional image, which coincides with the conclusions on the importance of social networks for the development of a professional image, developed as a result of content analysis carried out in the framework of the study.

The research demonstrates that future teachers-psychologists positively influence the formation of their professional image through social networks, reflecting their professional positions and development as specialists. This article clarifies the role of social media in the development of professional self-awareness, considering the issue of professional image formation in the digital environment from psychological and pedagogical perspectives.
