Abstract

The proposed scientific research article examines a methodical model for the formation of translation competence of a future specialist using QazGPT artificial intelligence. In order to form a scientific and methodical model of translation competence, scientific research materials and cognito-linguoculturological methodology of foreign language education are analyzed. The most basic components of the translation competence of the future specialist are selected as cognitive, textual-strategic, genre-stylistic and linguo-digital subcompetences. Student-centered approach and system-activity approach have been chosen in order to form language specialties students’ translation competence through QazGPT in Foreign Language Education. Cognitive and translation adequacy principles are identified as principles of cognito-linguoculturological methodology of foreign language education. As a result, scientific and methodical model of the formation of translation competence of students of language specialties is suggested. All blocks of the scientific and methodical model for the formation of translation competence by artificial intelligence are described and explained in detail. An experimental work conducted among students of the specialty «Translation Studies» and revealed the effectiveness of the methodical model. The instructional material was developed based on the work by George S. Clason, The Richest Man in Babylon, which became a global bestseller and is used for educational purposes. This scientific article reveals new opportunities for applying a methodical model in translation studies from English into Kazakh. The conducted research contributes to the development of teaching methods for future translators in the context of educational digitalization and the integration of modern educational technologies. The practical significance of the research results lies in the possibility of using the developed exercises and tasks in the educational process with the application of artificial intelligence technologies, which enhances the effectiveness of forming translation competence among students of language specialties.
