This article analyzes the work of domestic and foreign scientists on the problem of the formation of managerial competencies. The content of the concept “managerial competence of the future teacher in accordance with the scientific provisions of the competence-based approach to professional and pedagogical education is determined.
The modern school is in need of teachers who are not only able to explain new material and organize their work, but also who are able to competently manage the educational and cognitive activities of students. We are talking about a new role of a teacher - a teacher- manager who is able to provide a guaranteed level of education of the student, i.e. achievement of a predictable and diagnosed result within the planned time and with predetermined resource costs. Hence, there is an in sore need of to form the managerial competence of the future teacher as a component of the professional training of a specialist at a university.
