The article deals with the psychological features of the communicative and speech development of primary school children. It is noted that the development of communication skills of primary school children is a very urgent problem, since the degree of formation of these skills affects not only the effectiveness of teaching children, but also their socialization and personal development in general. It is proved that the communicative and speech development of children is a consistent work that must be planned for each lesson in the learning process, and also requires certain psychological knowledge from the teacher. When organizing work on the communicative and speech development of primary school children, it turns out that the teacher must consider the psychological and age-related features of the speech development of children.
