Abstract

The article is devoted to the results of a study on the implementation of teaching using a bot-textbook in mathematics using economic modeling. A theoretical review of the requirements for electronic educational publications is carried out, as well as a practical adjustment of these requirements when implementing training with a bot-textbook. The requirements for the software of the training system have also been developed and certain advantages and disadvantages of this system have been identified. The results of the pedagogical experiment have been published and corresponding conclusions have been drawn on the implementation of the technical task for programmers when developing a digital version of the bot-textbook. Of particular interest is the actual use, the impact on students’ beliefs regarding the use of electronic textbooks in mathematics, as well as the impact on mathematical competencies. The importance and relevance of understanding the environment in which an electronic textbook is used and the situation with teachers is important for adapting the design to the needs of students, offering technical solutions and exploring opportunities to improve teaching and learning activities. The author’s methodology of teaching mathematics on the basis of teaching economic problems on the subject of «Economics» at school, based on mathematical modeling of real economic processes described by linear models, is an effective means and mechanism for the formation of cognitive independence of students of specialized classes of economic orientation in schools with a mathematical bias of education. Although research on the use of (printed) math textbooks and digital tools exists, there is still a high need for research on digital math textbooks with embedded digital tools that are used by teachers and students in math lessons.
