EXPERIENCE OF USING ROLE-PLAYING GAMES IN THE PROCESS OF TEACHING STUDENTS OF A TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The article is devoted to the practical application of role-playing games in the process of teaching speaking, as one of the most important aspects of studying professionally oriented Russian in a non-linguistic university for the training of specialists of the XXI century. The development of domestic higher professional education is characterized by its reorientation to a personal paradigm and a competence-based approach as a priority. The concept of modernization of the education system at the university provides for the introduction of interactive teaching methods that create relevant conditions for the formation of basic competencies, allowing graduates to independently acquire knowledge as close as possible to practical activities. Therefore, active and interactive methods and forms of teaching are currently used in pedagogical practice, the latter should make up at least 5% of classroom classes.

The training course conducted in an interactive mode allows you to include all students in the work, to provide everyone with feasible participation in solving simulated problems. These methods are most consistent with a personality-oriented approach, since they involve "co-learning" (collective, collaborative learning), and both the student and the teacher are subjects of the educational process. The teacher acts only as the organizer of the learning process, the creator of conditions for the initiative of students.

Thus, the present study proves the feasibility of using role-playing and problem-based business games in teaching the Russian language to students of technical universities, which are quite productive in the language teaching system. The effectiveness of the use of role-playing games is expressed in the modeling of socially significant relations between the participants in the game, in the ability to apply knowledge, creativity, and practical skills to express one's thoughts in Russian. At the same time, it develops critical and creative thinking of students.
