Abstract

The relevance of the problem investigated in the article is due to the influence of digitalization on the education system. The importance and necessity of the formation of digital literacy of primary school-age students are indisputable, since this is a requirement of modernity, and is also an important factor in the socialization of the individual in a digital society, which makes it possible to successfully teach in a modern educational environment. In the article, the authors draw attention to the importance of the formation of digital literacy of younger schoolchildren in a digital educational environment. The essence of the concepts of "digital literacy", "digital educational environment" is revealed based on the analysis of research by Kazakhstani and foreign scientists. The results of a survey of primary school students and teachers are analyzed in order to determine the degree of independence of students when using the digital educational environment, security, the purpose of the use of digital technologies and other aspects. The key skills in the structure of digital literacy are highlighted: the skills of understanding and using information, the skills of evaluating information, systematization of digital sources, digital navigation, information creation skills, digital security skills. The authors define digital technologies, digital educational resources, communication, and pedagogical technologies as components of the digital educational environment. The possibilities of the educational environment in the formation of digital literacy of younger schoolchildren are revealed: semantic (understanding the purpose of using digital technologies, safety standards); substantive (ensuring the conditions of the digital environment), social (communities, communication); technological (methods of forming digital literacy of younger schoolchildren with the power of digital technologies and resources). The article provides an overview of sources in the field of digital literacy formation using scientific methods, conducts questionnaires, analyzes research results and conclusions.
