COOPERATIVE COMMUNICATION IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE EDUCATION

Abstract

This article reveals the essence of cooperative communication in the process of foreign language education in higher education and the need to develop teamwork skills to meet public demand. The authors substantiate the role of Cooperative learning technology in creating a favorable environment for the implementation of cooperative communication in classes with students-future teachers of a foreign language in the disciplines of "Professionally oriented foreign language" and "Special professional foreign language". This technology is considered necessary to achieve individual and group learning goals and provides an opportunity for a supportive, interdependent and mutually beneficial educational environment. The authors determine the importance of the motivational component of the process of learning a foreign language, including in group work. The article presents the results of experimental training on the formation of skills of cooperative and communicative competence of students of the 3rd year of study using mobile applications popular among students in a mixed learning environment, such as Google Tools, WhatsApp and online platforms Kahoot.it in a sequence of conceptual-cognitive, information-accumulative, pragmatic-representative and contextual-communicative stages. An attempt was made to develop students' skills of cooperative communication strategy such as establishing contact, maintaining conversation, regulating (preventing) conflict, and manipulating for mutual benefit. Online gaming platform Kahoot.it It is an exciting tool for checking the learned material in the form of group work, Google Documents and Google Presentation mobile applications open up opportunities for joint creation and editing of text files online to complete a group task after discussing roles and dividing the responsible part of group work.
