In the current era of advanced digital technologies in education, the challenge of developing learners’ speaking skills is a significant topic requiring extensive research. The article outlines a methodology designed to assess the extent to which digital technologies influence the development of learners’ speaking skills within the primary education process. Furthermore, the study involved conducting research with experimental and control groups to evaluate the effectiveness of this methodology.
A total of 50 students from a general education school in Shymkent participated in the study, comprising 25 students in the experimental group and 25 in the control group. The research involved administering a custom questionnaire based on the Likert scale and utilizing the «Sentence Construction from Words» methodology proposed by T.A. Fotekova. Research results from the diagnostic and control stages were compiled stages were compiled and analyzed using the SPSS software, with findings presented in the form of tables (Independent Samples Test) and charts (Stacked Bar Chart). Based on the study’s objective, a methodology for utilizing digital technologies to develop speaking skills among primary school students was developed and implemented. Instruction for the experimental group was conducted using a methodology based on digital technologies, whereas the control group received traditional instruction. Following the development phase of the study, significant differences were observed between the control and experimental groups. The results demonstrated that, through the use of digital technologies to develop speaking skills in primary education, the proficiency level of the experimental group improved significantly compared to the initial assessment stage. As a result, learners in the experimental group demonstrated positive changes in speaking skills and in the construction of words and sentences through the use of a methodology and research activities incorporating digital technologies. The study concluded that a methodology based on digital technologies is effective for developing speaking skills within the primary education process.
